Woodlark Island couldn't follow up his Wincanton success at Taunton last time but his amateur rider's claim puts him on a decent mark here and he makes more appeal than the mares Lucy's Legend and Illysantachristina, who looks to be in the handicapper's grip. Four-year-olds Saqil and Hope Point don't look badly treated but successful pointer Superman De La Rue has his fair share of weight and this trip is on the sharp side for Orion Express. OFFICER IN COMMAND has been in good form on the all-weather this month and if he's ever going to win over hurdles it will be at a sharp track like this on fast ground. With McCoy in the saddle, he looks the one to beat.
