In depth

Verdict

A race little better than selling grade but Malmo Boy has the best overall form on offer and can hold off Penny's Crown and Peddars Way. Malmo Boy has ran creditably on five starts, winning one and hitting the frame on the other four. His participation is rain dependent but he would take the beating off this light racing weight. Penny's Crown won a seller a couple of months ago when beating the much higher rated King's Castle on the day. She has been turned over twice since in much stiffer company than this. Peddars Way was put in against the likes of Gold Medallist earlier in the season. He fell heavily on his latest start and his backers will be hoping that this has not had any long lasting mental effect. Businessmoney Jake is substantially upped in trip and could be best of the rest. A hard race to call and Malmo Boy's consistency secures him the selection.
