Verdict

Kilmacowen has won over 3m1f but stopped very quickly when odds-on for a modest affair over 2m6f at Fakenham in May and hasn't been seen since. He could be worth taking on with NEXT EXIT, who has plenty to find on official ratings but still appears to be on an upward curve and the horse he beat at Stratford last month, Wayward Glance, easily beat Tenby Jewel at Worcester a couple of weeks ago. My Horse Harry may also be open to further improvement but Pierre Dubh has gone to pieces since winning at Wincanton in the spring and is now blinkered.
