Martin Weston has already posted a couple of successes in the current campaign with his small string and looks to have a solid chance with ex-Mark Johnston inmate GREEN LIGHTNING. He's finished close up in four of his last five handicap hurdles and should go close if handling this step-up in trip. Consistency is an important component to have on your side in these selling contests and he seems sure to be in the shake-up. Hugo Drax is interesting despite having shown little in five hurdling starts for David Pipe. He's owned by Pipe senior and was better last time, so has to be noted here with the first-time application of a tongue tie and blinkers off a fair mark. Master Wells and Sovereign Spirit are well into the veteran stage but remain competitive at this level whilst the champion jockey is a rare booking for Anabel Murphy on Whatsabillion.
