Verdict

Investment Manager, three times a winner here, has the edge in experience over his rivals as he has his 13th run over fences but he is probably vulnerable to less-exposed types. Crossing The Bar could figure if on a going day and beat SPORTING ACE at Plumpton in April but the latter was a lot more consistent over hurdles and also has point-to-point experience. Rock Of Star won twice at Chepstow in the spring while Langley Hundred is by the same sire as the formidable Shishkin so should handle the switch to fences.
