MOABIT should encounter few problems in completing a four-timer. Paul Nicholls' improving four-year-old easily landed a Class 2 handicap at Stratford last month and none of his three rivals can match that kind of form. Arthur Burrell won a bumper here a year ago but only beat one home on his hurdling debut at Exeter in November, though might do better dropped in trip. Neither General Brook nor Breeze Along make any appeal.
Moabit (GER) 5-4fav (10-5) Held up in touch, close 3rd before home bend, led before last, ran on well, clear towards finish, readily, won at Stratford 2m hcp (2) gs in May beating Disputed (10-13) by 4 1/2l, 8 ran.
Arthur Burrell 5-1 (10-12) Held up in rear, closed before 7th, not that fluent 3 out or when one pace and no impression 2 out, 4th of 5, 12 1/2l behind Roll The Dough (11-5) at Exeter 2m 6f (4) sft in Nov.
Breeze Along 66-1 (11-0) Held up towards rear, struggling 4 out, soon behind, pulled up before 2 out, at Worcester 2m 4f mdn (4) gd in Jun.
General Brook (IRE) 16-1 (9-4) Slowly away, held up, pushed along over 3f out, well beaten over 2f out, 9th of 10, 18l behind Our Queenie (9-7) at Chepstow 1m hcp (5) gf in Sep.
