In depth

Verdict

This looks quite competitive for a seller but most people's idea of the winner will be Sovereign Spirit, who has already won twice at Fontwell this month. He's 10lb higher now, however, and is also better on a faster surface. Kings Story and Transvestite look closely matched on their run together over C&D last month and should be thereabouts, while Carhue Princess has shown enough to suggest she can be a force in this grade and may be suited by this longer trip. Hereditary was in decent form in the spring and makes more appeal than veteran Heir To Be but CAPTAIN BECKET may have needed his run here earlier in the month and has dropped to a fair mark now. He could be the one here with Tom O'Connor taking off a further 5lb.
