In a very tricky contest Temper Lad is just given the vote ahead of Spectacular Hope and Farceur. Jimmy Frost's ten-year-old gained a deserved victory here last time, beating Native Cunning in a much stronger race. That was over a much longer trip but his two previous good efforts in this type of company were over much shorter trip and off today's mark he looks the best option. Martin Pipe runs three here and Farceur could be the pick of the trio. He returns from an unsuccessful spell over fences but drops to this company for the first time. He was rated as high as 95 earlier in the year so must have some sort of chance of today's mark. Spectacular Hope has strong claims on his recent second behind Polished and a repeat of that effort should get him some place money. Best of the others could be Indian Beat, but Temper Lad is hard to ignore in this mood and gets our vote.
