In depth

Formwatch

Him of Praise (IRE) Missed the cut in the Grand National at the 11th hour; this looks easier.

Collier Bay Not the most fluent of fencers but thrown in on best form over hurdles and fences; claims.

Saint Joseph Smart hunter chaser but has plenty of weight and disappointed in handicap company on his last attempt at this grade.

Kendal Cavalier Thorough stayer who should relish the trip and conditions but has been out of sorts of late and is difficult to get too excited about.

Master of Illusion (IRE) Has shot up the weights after his facile dismissal of Nosam last time but may still be capable of figuring if in the same mood.

Cahors (IRE) Fair hunter chaser but not up to this class on the balance of his form shown so far.

Apatura King Lightly raced but fairly talented former hunter chaser who ran well on handicap debut at Cheltenham in October; could be worth a chance at likely odds.

Derring Bridge Seven month absence to overcome but goes well here and is not without a chance on his best form.

Nearly A Score Trying a new trip but handles the ground a would have a squeak if he stays.

Royal Barge One outing in last two year and failed to complete; hard to fancy.

Defendtherealm Goes on any ground and is a previous course and distance winner; well handicapped off today's mark and could have a leading chance if putting in a clear round.

Jazz Duke Big drop in grade after a sound effort in an Ascot handicap; handles the ground and is no forlorn hope.

Just Steffi Won this race last year and ran a fair trial last time; off a featherweight is quite capable of repeating last year's performance.
