BERKELEY COURT is the solid selection to land back to back course successes with both Cartier Opera and Cloonavery worthy of respect. Trainer Tim Vaughan has dominated the summer jumps scene this year and the selection absolutely dotted up when winning here last week. He had been successful in the point to point field prior to that win but was able to run off a mark of just 64 and being a conditional jockeys race he does not get any penalty for it. The trip however is the only concern as it is obvious that connections have had to pick a race that is not totally ideal. He will be ridden positively over this shorter trip and with a clear round he looks weighted to win again. Cartier Opera has not been seen for well over a year but comes from a powerful stable. His last run at Wetherby was a solid effort to finish third behind Thunderclap and if he is fit from his lay off he would have to go close. Cloonavery has been knocking on the door in similar races this summer without getting his head in front and he may find the odd one too good once again. Berkeley Court is set to rise dramatically in the weights but before the handicapper can take action he is worth siding with once again.
