Verdict

A tough race to call here for punters with very little between many of the leading fancies but the main protagonists look to be Flahive's First, Toi Express and Master Henry, and we will take a chance on Toi Express. The selection was a fair third on his last run in a better race behind Spring Grove and off what looks a fair mark he will be hard to beat if he is fit enough to do himself justice after a 209 day absence. Flahive's First won well at his beloved Cartmel last time out when defeating Xaipete. He again has conditions to suit and with the capable Nick Williams taking off a handy five pounds he will not be far away. Master Henry is another worthy of respect on his best form. But he gave the impression in was in the handicappers grip when fourth behind Tamango last time. However his yard are in better form now and he is worth a cautionary look in the market. Of the remainder The Mighty Sparrow travels a long way to take his chance and he was a fair third behind Indian Tom last time, but for the winner we return to Toi Express.
