Royale's Charter went close on a couple of occasions last season and should have no trouble winning a race like this when the ground is a bit softer, but he's never tackled a surface this fast over hurdles. Fountains Flypast carries a penalty for his victory in a Taunton handicap in March and may prefer further so we'll take a chance on the fitness of KING EDMUND. Rated 135 over fences, he hasn't raced since pulling up at Perth in the spring but would be hard to beat here if fully wound up with the switch back to hurdles not expected to pose too many problems.
