Connections will be hoping a return to familiar surroundings will spark a revival in Farbreaga but recent efforts have been abysmal. Minellahalfcentury is coming down the weight but a recent third at Sandown came in an amateurs' race and though Rocky Bender is capable on his day he was pulled up in this grade last time at Warwick. Sun Wild Life has yet to convince over this trip on soft ground which leaves MILLICENT SILVER as the likely winner. Nigel Twiston-Davies' mare has found her niche in staying races when there is plenty of give in the ground and she had a subsequent winner well beaten at Bangor last month.
Minellahalfcentury (IRE) 7-2 (12-5) Held up, headway chasing leaders approaching 13th, 2nd 3 out, one pace in 3rd run-in, 3rd of 8, 2 1/2l behind Jennys Surprise (11-12) at Sandown 3m (3) sft in Mar.
Farbreaga (IRE) 6-1 (11-10) Towards rear, slow 1st and never really looked that convincing after, well beaten before 12th, 9th of 11, 30 3/4l behind Leo Luna (11-7) at Warwick 3m hcp (3) sft in Feb.
Rocky Bender (IRE) 16-1 (11-10) Towards rear, went right 16th, behind when blundered next, pulled up before 18th, at Warwick 3m 5f hcp (3) sft in Mar.
Sun Wild Life (FR) 6-1 (11-11) Led, headed after 4th, remained prominent, ridden to challenge 3 out, stayed on well closing stages, 2nd of 7, 3 1/2l behind Solstice Son (11-6) at Fontwell 3m 1f hcp (4) gd in Mar.
Millicent Silver 4-1 (11-11) Held up, jumped right 4th, pushed along 8th, not fluent next, in touch when not fluent 11th or 13th, went 2nd 16th, challenged 2 out, led last, clear flat, stayed on, won at Bangor 3m 6f hcp (4) hvy in Mar beating Son Of Suzie (11-12) by 7l, 8 ran.
