Clearly Capable has been running poorly but won twice here last year, beating Starlit Night on the second occasion off today’s mark. Mauna Kea is 0-11 but was a fair third at Warwick last time. Ballyantics has the ability to play a part in a race like this and Powerstown Park is less exposed than most, though needs to improve on efforts so far. David Noonan’s persistence paid off on AMOUR D’OR here last month. He still has his stamina to prove over this trip but is only 5lb higher and should find sufficient cover in this field to pounce late again. Silver Quay could also figure if on a going day.
