In depth

Verdict

Say What You See looked a useful recruit to the novice hurdling ranks when making a winning debut over timber at Uttoxeter last month and Martin Pipe's colt is taken to follow up at the main expense of stablemate Bounce Again and Critical Stage. The last mentioned is rated in the 60s on the flat and could be interesting on his first start over timber under ground conditions that should suit. Eagle's Landing lost her way on the level last year and has been off the track for some time so is probably best watched and of more interest may be Robert Alner's newcomer The Cad. Bounce Again has shown ability in two starts in bumpers but gave little sign of encouragement on his hurdling debut last month. He is surely better than that outing in a better race than this at Cheltenham would suggest but he will need to improve greatly on the form shown there to trouble Say What You See, who is hard to oppose.
