Bazart had been running reasonably well on the Flat before an incredibly easy victory in a poor contest over hurdles at Plumpton. He's turned out quickly under a penalty but isn't as well suited by today's much softer ground. The ex-Irish WHISPERING WIND is in foal and was having her first start for Alan Jones when runner-up to First Beauty at Ffos Las. She only faded in the closing stages and should be fit enough to go one better this time. Kayfrou did better when stepped-up to 2m3f last time and this looks on the short side but Holden Caulfield has run his best races on this track and is on a decent enough mark to make his presence felt.
