Safe Investment gets the confident vote in this maiden with Hadahoo and Massive rating the main dangers. The selection was a good second on his debut behind Kalgoorlie when beaten only a short head. That form looks solid and given nominal improvement he will be hard to beat. Hadahoo rates the main danger as he is a well-bred War Chant colt, half-brother to winners over 7f & 1m and hails from a yard that can ready a two-year-old so he should be noted in the market. Massive is another well-bred Marju colt out of winning miler Khatela and should be noted in the market but the suspicion is he will be seen to better effect over a longer trip in time. Of the remainder, Loch Tay is from a yard that is doing well with its debutantes and could go well at a price but Safe Investment sets a fair standard and given improvement will be hard to beat.
