tracked leader, driven to lead 1f out, headed well inside final furlong, no extra
held up in touch, ridden approaching final furlong, not clear run inside final furlong, stayed on (will improve)
close up, ridden over 1f out, driven to lead well inside final furlong
led, ridden and headed 1f out, still every chance inside final furlong, no extra near finish
This looks to rest between Daniel Thomas, Sun Kissed and Walkonthewildside and the vote goes to Daniel Thomas. Amanda Perrett's colt was well fancied on his debut but was just touched off in a driving finish by Solent. He is sure to come on for that run and will be hard to beat given nominal improvement. Sun Kissed is closely related to the fair performer Commander Collins and is from a yard that has over a 25 per cent strike-rate with its first time out 2-year-olds, so he is worth noting in the market. Walkonthewildside is a half-brother to the useful sprinter Batchelor of Arts and is another to note in the market. The remainder are also well-bred newcomers but should do better over a longer trip and we are happy to stick with Daniel Thomas as our idea of the winner.
