The three-year-olds have generally held sway in this down the years and the Gosden stable, which has won this twice, have two entered this year. Both have solid claims with Frankie on board Coppice, who seeks a fourth win in seven starts. Her saddle slipped last time at Sandown when she finished behind Rab Havlin’s mount Queen For You and Potapova. Despite flying high this season, Tarawa has been holding her own and should run her race again while Silver Lady has had just the two starts and is closely matched with Queen For You on York form in the spring. AMEYNAH was sixth in last year’s 1000 Guineas and has only raced twice this year. She made a promising reappearance in a Group 3 at Ascot and clearly didn’t stay 1m2f subsequently at Salisbury. Her yard won this last year and also with a four-year-old back in 2011. Astral Beau ran better than expected in the Falmouth Stakes on the July Course here in the summer but is penalised for her win at Doncaster in the spring.
