        Verdict

        If Berkshire was good enough to land the Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot in majestic fashion, then MAN AMONGST MEN should be more than capable of landing a Newmarket maiden. That's the logic anyway as Brian Meehan's charge finished ahead of the Royal Ascot victor when the pair finished second and third on debut in the hot Newbury maiden won by Championship who is still being talked of in glowing terms by the Hannon yard despite his Coventry Stakes reversal. Overall the form looks rock-solid and the Meehan inmate must be the selection but the market should receive close attention with many top yards unwrapping newcomers of real interest. Ryan Moore partners Kingman for Juddmonte and John Gosden while Squire must be noted now that the Godolphin youngsters have found form. Jeremos and Mutewathea represent Richard Hannon and could also be prominent.
