Verdict
Sea Of Heartbreak was engaged in a fillies' race over C&D yesterday but would have every chance if diverted to this instead. But this doesn't look a race in which to get too heavily involved with question marks hanging over most of the runners. Arctic Cosmos won the St Leger in 2010 and made a winning reappearance at Kempton but stopped as if shot when tailed off behind front-runner Harris Tweed at Newbury next time and was a remote last in his only other start in the Yorkshire Cup. Harris Tweed has been beaten three times since that Newbury success and has to concede weight to all of his rivals here while Proud Chieftain was probably flattered by his Doncaster win. Dreamspeed has plenty to prove at present while Retrieve was only fourth in a handicap last time so we'll give a tentative vote to stable companion SONGCRAFT. He was giving Chiberta King 3lb when just lasting home over 1m6f at Salisbury and will be happier dropped back in trip.
