Verdict

TERWADA was a visually impressive nine-length novice winner at Nottingham. He may well take a further step forward now handicapping if acting on the soft ground. Pastiche made a winning debut in handicaps when scoring over 7f here and is upped 7lb but Oliver Show failed to cope with a rise in the weights at Ascot having won at Kempton earlier. Signcastle City has a bit to prove over this far though his yard has a good record in this and The Gatekeeper represents last year’s winning stable.
