Verdict
Richard Hannon sent out the useful filly Anna Nerium to win this 12 months ago and saddles two this year. The Queen’s Topical made a decent start behind King Of Comedy at Sandown, though already looks ready for a step up to a mile. Shining Torch was an 80,000gns yearling but is sprint-bred. Dubai Dominion was third to Main Edition at Goodwood last month and the extra furlong should suit while Machell Place and Alkaamel are other likely improvers. Yuga Kawada, one of Japan’s leading jockeys, is spending the summer with Roger Varian and has picked up the ride here on Godolphin newcomer GOLDEN VALOUR. Out of a mare that produced useful winners with all three of her offspring to race, he’s a son of Kingman and can make a winning debut.
