Verdict
All of these arrive in decent form including GREEN ETOILE (NAP), a winner over 1m4f at Salisbury before scrambling home over hurdles at Hexham. Alan King's charge is bred to stay and a 4lb rise shouldn't prevent another big run. Aktau makes his handicap debut after three reasonable efforts over 1m2f but Smarter has been unable to cope with a huge rise in the weights after a very easy victory at Southwell. Cafe Espresso easily won a Lingfield seller and has changed hands though but will need more here but Monsieur Lambrays showed his best form to date when stepped up to an extended 1m3f at Windsor and can improve again over this trip. Cormier did better than expected at Haydock though that was on very heavy ground while Glutnforpunishment has already won three times on the all-weather since March and still looks on a feasible mark.
