In depth

Verdict

The three-year-old Shafeeq will be happier on this faster surface, having got bogged down in the mud at Kempton. He is taken to see off the challenge of the older horses, led by dual course winner Port Moresby. The latter has struggled since rattling off a four timer last year, but he is just starting to come down in the weights now and comes here after turning in a sound performance over an inadequate trip last time. Pasithea, may be a shade too high in the handicap now, while Flight Sequence, who won what looked a below standard Zetland Gold Cup, at least comes here at the top of her form but, she has more to do in this company.
