John Gosden's Gregorian interrupted a winning run from the Hannon team last year and he runs Wannabe Yours and Kasb this time. A Group 3 winner at Goodwood in August, the former hasn't run so well in his two starts since and took a fierce hold on his reappearance at York when he was behind today's rival Emell, who finished fifth. He had Hors De Combat a neck behind in that Goodwood event but the latter has done much better subsequently and can take his revenge. Three-year-olds don't have a great record in the event but CODE RED is progressing nicely and has now won two Listed races in his past four starts so he's taken to beat his older rivals. Kasb could be the dark horse in the race as he's had little experience but won twice last year, including on his debut, and his pedigree suggests he should be better this season.
