John Gosden trained the winner of this in 2014 and Markaz carried the colours of Hamdan Al Maktoum to victory last year. MUWAARY combines the two and he got no sort of a run behind Mutakayyef in a Listed race at York earlier this month. Second in the Jersey Stakes 12 months ago, the five-year-old can return to winning ways here granted luck in-running. Adaay runs in the same colours but finished behind So Beloved, Breton Rock and Here Comes When at Haydock last month so it's no surprise that Paul Hanagan prefers the selection. Birchwood has something to prove after a terrible run in the French 2,000 Guineas at Deauville, though three-year-olds have won two of the last five renewals.
