In depth

Verdict

Mujtaba has leading claims having won at Doncaster in a first-time tongue-tie and is 3lb well-in under his penalty. Stablemate Protagonist is another to consider having beaten Dual Identity at Sandown last time and Savvy Victory at Doncaster before that and the latter has subsequently won at Goodwood. Jimi Hendrix struggled from a high draw at Goodwood but is preferred to Kitsune Power and Totally Charming as he steps up in trip while Saeed bin Suroor sent out last year’s winner and First View is preferred to Electrical Storm of the yard’s four runners. The Gosdens’ have a fine record in this though Magical Morning is not the most reliable while Bell Rock was well beaten in last season’s renewal but INJAZATI (NAP) could go well at a big price. He’ll be sharper for a first outing since April when failing to stay a longer trip in Listed company at Windsor last month and is taken to fulfil the promise of last year’s progressive form.
