always prominent, led 3f out, ridden over 1f out, ran on well
held up in rear, ridden over 2f out, soon no impression
chased leaders, effort over 2f out, soon one pace

A race full of progressive horses and it's hard to be too dogmatic about the outcome; Masaalek may be the one to side with. Billion Dollar Kid was staying on well over seven furlongs in a decent handicap last time and must be feared. Meydan Dubai is another for the short-list as he ran well despite being hampered in the handicap won by Duntulm at the start of the month but Harlech Castle was most disappointing in that race and can only be watched. Irish Mayhem and Yaddree were only separated by a short-head at Yarmouth and neither are dismissed and nor is Toto Skyllachy who didn't run too badly at Chester despite lacking the pace to get competitive over that tight circuit. We should also hear more from the likes of Glorious Gift and Mexican Venture but we'll be hoping that today's contest goes the way of our selection. He showed up well in two well contested maidens before readily winning on his third attempt and Masaalek may be able to go in again here.
