        Verdict

        Capers Royal Star finished last of four at Kempton on his debut but still ran better than the others with experience including Headlong, well beaten when third over 6f here back in July. Of the newcomers, Ryan Moore's presence takes the eye on Daydreamer while stablemate and Derby entry Mutakayyef cost 260,000gns. Naadirr was an even more expensive acquisition at 425,000gns and is another to consider along with Stetchworth. However, both of PRETZEL's winning relatives scored over 7f as two-year-olds and Roger Varian's colt may be up to making a winning start, especially if strongly supported in the betting.
