Verdict

INTERMEDIUM was sent to Kempton for his debut and though running in snatches through greenness produced a very encouraging performance to get within a neck of Festival Theatre with the remainder well beaten. He'll be unfortunate to come up against one as good here though there are some superbly bred individuals including Alex Vino, from the yard responsible for Festival Theatre. Istikshaf is the eleventh foal of a mare who has already produced eight winners and he has to be respected along with Bon Voyage, who is a half-brother to the useful Mantoba and other winners. The betting should tell us more about the others though Almuhalab, by Dansili and the first foal of the 1000 Guineas winner Ghanaati, is an obvious one to keep an eye on.
