        Verdict

        The only defeat suffered by Ghostwriting came in a Group 2 and he stayed on very strongly to score over 7f at Doncaster a fortnight ago. However, Magic City was unlucky in-running that day and can reverse the placings on 6lb better terms. The latter's stablemate Kid Suitor is progressing very nicely and scored with a bit in hand at Chepstow while Devdas overcame trouble in-running to score on the July Course and is another on the upgrade. CHIL THE KITE showed enough promise on his debut to be sent off favourite at Goodwood and had no real problems justifying the support. He's a half-brother to five winners and looks the type to go on to better things.
