Plenty of guesswork as ever and the most tentative of votes goes to KINGS TROOP ahead of Jazacosta and Shadow Bay. The last-named was impressive when winning recently at Nottingham on soft ground. However that run came over six furlongs and he needs to prove that this step up in trip will suit. Instead then we side with Kings Troop, who is also up in trip but only from seven furlongs. Carrying top-weight to victory will be tough but he handles cut in the ground and shapes like a mile will be ideal. Cool Art and Calahonda are both open to plenty of improvement on their Nursery debuts, whilst River Captain impressed last time and a 6lb penalty may not be enough to stop him. Zaaqya's recent win may receive a boost in our previous race where the runner-up Plotting runs, whilst Jazacosta looked a bit one-paced last time so it is no surprise to see him running over further. As tough a race to find the winner as you're likely to encounter and narrow preference is for Kings Troop.
