Verdict
PEARL ACCLAIM found only stablemate Havana Gold too good on his debut over C&D and ran well enough to suggest he can pick up a maiden with normal improvement. He's preferred to a host of well-bred newcomers that include the 160,000gns Godolphin colt Darkening. The latter makes more appeal than stablemate Lawmans Thunder while Bravo Youmzain cost 90,000gns and is worth noting in the betting. Romanoff is related to four winning sprinters but Luca Cumani's newcomers usually come on for the run and Whipper's Boy is another speedily-bred type. Sharjah and Mission Approved have more stamina in their respective pedigrees and may do better when stepped up in distance.
