Verdict

A tricky contest with doubts surrounding most of these. Watersmeet is the most recent winner with a success at Dundalk in March but he’s struggled since. Stablemate Sennockian Star has yet to win over further than 1m2f and Plutocracy ran well at Ascot a fortnight ago but is upped in class. Seismos had just the one start last year and was well beaten over 2m last month while First Sitting and Antiquarium look high enough in the weights. Ajman Bridge has not won since 2013 now so a tentative vote goes to the returning FELIX MENDELSSOHN, a lightly raced five-year-old competing in a handicap for the first time after three starts in Listed company last term that included a third at Ascot.
