Verdict

Well beaten in the 2000 Guineas here a fortnight ago, LARCHMONT LAD is penalised for last year’s Group 3 success over course and distance when beating Whitecliffsofdover. A line through the latter should still give him the beating of Seven Heavens, though John Gosden’s charge will appreciate the return to 7f, and he beat Taamol here last year. Beat The Bank remains unbeaten after landing a conditions race over track and trip while Desert Frost steps up in class after winning a maiden race over 6f at Doncaster. Masham Star was second in a Chester handicap last time but, like Solomon's Bay, is facing a tough task.
