      Verdict

      Englishman ran well here last time but his best form so far has been over shorter trips in soft ground. Ansaab needs to find that bit extra if he's to score off his current mark, but COMPTON nearly did so at Leicester a fortnight ago. This looks no tougher and Stuart Williams' charge gets the nod. Beverley winner Crowdmania was tailed off in better company last time while Piceno remains in the handicapper's grip. Mac's Superstar has decent claims back over 7f and could prove best of the rest.
