A surprisingly small field for this juvenile event with only Major Cavelli having seen a racecourse before. Major Cavelli was a beaten odds-on favourite on his debut at Brighton last week and it would be no surprise to see one of the newcomers take the spoils. Magic Piper appeals as the most likely winner of the unraced quartet being from a family of good sprinters and coming from the Hannon yard who have tasted success this term with their two year olds. Cape Wind represents Barry Hills and being by Woodman out of a Nureyev mare is another who will have his supporters. Mick Channon saddles Naahy (by Bahamian Bounty) whilst Harry On The Run hails from a yard whose youngsters tend to need a run or two before firing on all cylinders.
