Soft ground will rule out Asatir, which is a pity as the Godolphin colt looks an exciting prospect. The once-raced Sir John Hawkwood has plenty of scope while Chapter Seven and Andalieb are both proven on the going and can't be ignored. The latter's victory at Doncaster is proving to be decent form. Ardmay is bidding for a fourth win in five starts this year and the form of his latest success at Ayr has been franked but Fluctuate didn't beat much at Wolverhampton in April and hasn't been seen since while Fire Ship didn't sparkle in a falsely-run race at Newcastle two weeks ago. COMPTON made an eye-catching reappearance in the Britannia at Royal Ascot when just behind Bronze Angel. That was his first try over a mile and he can reverse that form with Marcus Tregoning's charge on 4lb better terms and land this.
