The usual monitoring of the market will tell us how near we are with Cover Drive, who lacks any fancy entries but makes plenty of appeal on pedigree. Red Clubs hails from a yard that have already been amongst the winners this term and, along with Twilight Avenger, is expected to post the biggest threat. The selection is by Giants Causeway, who made a terrific start to his breeding career. As a half-brother to CD Europe - winner of the Coventry Stakes as a two-year-old - Michael Bell's charge has plenty going for him on paper. Bell has an excellent strike-rate with his debutantes and any support in the betting ring should not be ignored. Red Clubs is also related to several winners and can be expected to be forward enough to go close, while Twilight Avenger appeals as one for the future and is worth keeping tabs on from here. However, Cover Drive makes the most appeal fro the time being and is fancied to get off the mark at the first time of asking.
