Verdict

Pogo won this last year but has disappointed so far this season and has finished behind several of these including AUDIENCE. The latter won the Criterion Stakes on the July course in the summer and has gone close in a couple of Group 2 races subsequently. Shouldvebeenaring can figure if reproducing a recent third in a Group 1 at Longchamp but stablemate Chindit looks best over a mile nowadays. The Irish filly Matilda Picotte faced an easier task when landing the Sceptre at Doncaster last month though is still preferred to compatriot Lord Massusus.
