Shale took revenge for an earlier defeat by Pretty Gorgeous when landing the Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes at the Curragh last month with Mother Earth and Snowfall well beaten. The first two home are hard to separate and can both figure again but INDIGO GIRL (NAP) looks up to this level. A winner on soft ground on her debut, John Gosden’s unbeaten filly won the Group 2 May Hill at Doncaster last time with plenty left in the tank and is taken to confirm running with Dubai Fountain, Zabeel Queen and Lilac Road. Isabella Giles is another progressive filly having beaten Seattle Rock in the Prestige Stakes at Goodwood before winning the Group 2 Rockfel Stakes over 7f here a fortnight ago and this extra distance should not be a problem.
