Verdict
Almufti ran well for fourth in the consolation race for the Royal Hunt Cup at Ascot when the first six home where drawn on the stands’ side. But MAYDANNY finished first of the nine horses that raced on the far side of the track on that occasion and Mark Johnston’s charge should be bang there at the finish with the faster ground also likely to suit. Bear Force One finished behind Breath Of Air, due to run in the previous race, when third over 7f at Newbury and is fitted with headgear today while Lawn Ranger will likely employ his preferred front-running tactics as he drops down in trip and he makes more appeal than Hateya.
