      Verdict

      Desert Angel is interesting running in his first nursery after placing the last twice and Uncs and Neptune Legend are similarly unexposed. Blue Collar Lad exceeded expectations when runner-up at Goodwood and is only 2lb higher. South Audley and Already Gone both finished nearer last than first in that contest but the Hannon representative had no luck in-running. FALL OF ROME would have been a more decisive winner here last month had he not hung in the closing stages. This is trickier off a 6lb higher mark but he should still give a good account.

      Already Gone (IRE) 14-1 (8-13) Slowly into stride, switched right start and held up in last pair, never a factor, 12th of 13, 12 1/2l behind Aswan (9-5) at Goodwood 7f (2) gs in Jul.
