In depth

Verdict

Boss Power has won all three outings on the all-weather, including at Kempton last time, but is 5lb higher back on this surface. Makram won over 1m2f at Sandown and can figure again if lasting home but another chance goes to ZABEEL CHAMPION (NAP). The latter has to be forgiven a below-par effort at Haydock but had shown good progress before that and the return to fast ground will suit Mark Johnston’s charge. Stablemate State Of Bliss was placed yet again at Goodwood last week but the Godolphin pair Volcanic Sky and Global Heat have both struggled since returning from Dubai.
