A big field for this opener and naturally it has a competitive look, with Pinpoint, Charlie Cool, Emerald Bay, Royal Oath and Prince Of Light under the microscope and we will side with Pinpoint to hit the spot. Walter Swinburn's charge was ready first time at Newbury where he beat Royal Oath into second over a mile. This step up in trip should be in his favour and although he is 3lb worse off with that rival he looks good enough to confirm the form. Charlie Cool is a consistent sort but keeps going up in the weights as a result and although trip and ground will suit he may again have to settle for the frame. Emerald Bay was Musselburgh winner last time out but has never won beyond a mile so has to prove that he gets this extra furlong, while Prince Of Light was a shade unlucky at Leopardstown last time and is very much respected with the benefit of that outing. He has plenty of weight and may have to give best to our suggestion, Pinpoint.
