The French have not had great success in the first fillies¿ classic for many years but that can change today as Six Perfections looks the most likely winner and the main danger also comes from across the English Channel in the shape of Intercontinental, with Soviet Song looking the best of the home runners. The selection was a winner in Group 1 company as a two-year-old and has already shown here well-being this term with an impressive success at Maisson-Laffitte, form that was franked when Campsie Fells who finished behind her went on to win a Group 3 race. The soft ground should hold no fears for Pascal Bary's filly, who is taken to beat another French raider Intercontinental. A mile could stretch the stamina of Andre Fabre's filly tough and a bigger threat to the selection could be James Fanshawe's Soviet Song. Proven over the trip, having won the Fillies¿ Mile last season, she has solid claims but would not want any further softening of the ground and comes here without a run. Russian Rhythm has reportedly not had an ideal preparation and, while recent history is against her, a bigger threat among the lesser-fancied runners could be Fred Darling winner Tante Rose. Nell Gwyn victor Khulood has more on her plate here while Godolphin¿s representatives Mezzo Soprano and Gonfilia need to improve on their previous form to trouble the judge.
