    Verdict

    This has been transferred from Newbury’s abandoned meeting last month. Max Vega edged out Hamish in this last year but the latter looked an unlucky loser and has been cleaning up in similar contests again this year, beating the disappointing Lone Eagle at Chester in May. Ching Shih arrives in decent form but hasn’t won since her two-year-old days while King Of Conquest failed to handle this grade at Haydock. AL QAREEM has returned from a break in fine form, however, and showed he handled these conditions in France
