Ascot Lime is sure to be popular but it may be worth giving another chance to SWINGING SIXTIES in a competitive race where Tanto Faz, Military Power and Tajweed all make some appeal. The selection has been a shade disappointing the last twice but there are valid excuses for both performances as too much use was made of him over twelve furlongs at Goodwood and the soft ground was against him last time. His win from Amanjena at the end of June has been given a boost by the runner-up and his yard is in great form at present. Ascot Lime is a typically progressive runner from the yard whose style of racing makes it difficult for the handicapper. There should be more to come from this well bred colt and he'll be strongly fancied but he does meet Tanto Faz on far worse terms than when accounting for him at Sandown. The Haggas runner has a 12lb swing in the weights for just three and a half lengths and he's similarly unexposed and didn't have the race run to suit last time. Military Power finished a length in front of him on that occasion on his first outing since going close at Goodwood at the end of July. The run should have brought him on and he's handicapped to win more races. Tajweed was most disappointing when last seen but he had been progressive prior to that and may have benefited from his long break. It will be interesting to see what the market makes of his chances but Swinging Sixties may be able to bag this prize.
