A tough looking finale with no fewer than 24 three-year-old sprinters lining up over the minimum trip. Among those with claims, and there are plenty of them, are White Ledger the only last time out winner in the field, Noble Nick from the David Nicholls stable for who Olivier Peslier is an eyecatching booking, Sarrego, Matty Tun and Esenin who are all drawn next to the far side rails and Yarmouth winner Amber's Bluff, who was pulled up last time up the near side fence. A market move for Lynda Ramsden's Kangarilla Road would be interesting, while Wicked Uncle deserves to win a race of this nature having been running well in defeat of late. What can only be a tentative TEAMtalk selection goes to Bella Chica. Trainer Jeremy Glover has a fine record at this meeting and, this daughter of Bigstone is still unexposed over this trip, having raced mainly over six furlongs since her two-year-old days when she won twice, both over the minimum trip. She could be value in a tricky contest.
